A Pair of Classical Carved Giltwood Girandole Mirrors, English or American, 1815-1830, Provenance Ginsburg/Levy

These giltwood looking glasses are a genuine pair original to each other.  Note the detailed eagle carvings positioned in opposition to each other; this is the the sign of a real pair.  While somewhat austere, this pair is quite classical and makes an elegant, restrained statement.   However, upon close examination one will notice that the eagles are superbly carved (see detail below).   This pair has no alterations or breaks and the gold leaf has been freshened up to make them ready to hang.
