A Magnificent Mahogany Chippendale English Tall Case Clock with Tides, Bristol, England, Thomas Pierce, c.1760-80

This clock is composed of heavy, dense, striped Cuban mahogany. Note the wood quality of the large midsection door and the base panel. Additionally, the double stepped hood hearkens to a slightly earlier time-frame and the blind fretwork is additional testifying to the stateliness and quality of this clock. The fluted columns, and brass capitals are all original. Also note the fluted column corners below.
The movement has the seldom found tide feature and the dial itself is as embellished as these clocks ever get.
