A Classical/Federal Wing Chair, probably New York, c.1810-20

This wing chair retains the wing chair form, as seen in the last half of the 18th century with the exception of reeded legs, which harken to the classical period.   The legs are beautifully turned and reeded and retain their ample-sized wheels both in front and back, making for easy mobility.   The upholstery is a yellow silk with a feathered cushion.
 
In addition to being comfortable, this chair is in perfect condition with no breaks or alterations.
