A Mid-sized Maple and Pine Tavern Table with Overhanging Rectangular Breadboard Top and Drawer, c.1780

Scroll down for 6 more photos

This tavern table is unusual, having turned splayed legs on button feet.  Its drawer, the sides of which are splayed on a conforming angle, is thus constructed off-square.   This table has the desirable large overhang and is in superb condition with no breaks or alterations whatsoever.

The top shows the proper shrinkage, and there are no additional holes which would pin the top to the base.  This is a very pure table that has been used through the years.  The color has a warm, amber glow.

Height: 28 in.  Width: 42 in. Depth: 25 in.
