An Early Queen Anne Walnut Corner Chair, Massachusetts, c.1750

Scroll down for 4 more photos

This corner chair has the expected solid splats, (no open-piercing as in later examples) and is composed of the desireable walnut indicative of an earlier construction date.  The Queen Anne pad foot is typical.  This chair is in excellent condition with no breaks.  Generally, these chairs receive much use and this chair, obviously, has had excellent care through the years.  The walnut retains an older surface that we have waxed, and we have reupholstered this chair in a traditional fabric.
