A Magnificent Large Gilt Classical Mirror, probably New York, c.1820-30

This mirror is quite impressive and it appears that every square inch has something else going on, from the acorns at the top, to the various moldings, shells, and Caryatid faces which connote an opulence in a classical setting.  The mirror has old glass, and the backboard is original.  An interesting old label remains in the back, although its relevance is unclear.

This is the perfect mirror to go over a pier table or card table.

Height: 52 in.  Width: 27 1/2 in.
