A Dramatic Striped Ribbon Mahogany Regency Pedestal Breakfast Table, England, c.1820

This is one of the finest breakfast tables we have handled.  The wood is simply spectacular, and there are no veneers whatsoever.  Note the mahogany on the top.  The boards are matched and beautifully figured.   One might expect this used on a high-quality table of this type, but to see the same quality of fine figuring also on the legs and column is remarkable.  It puts it in a class by itself. 

The condition is perfect.  It has been French polished, of heavy weight, and all original.
