This small chest has wonderful old color and patina.  Note the backboards, with their early original large rose-head nails and the use of a hard southern yellow pine as a secondary wood.  It also has the desirable split drawer configuration for the top drawer, which is prominently used in Pennsylvania and further South.  The bracket feet are outstanding and give this piece a wonderfully gutsy look and a nice rise from the floor.    They are absolutely correct, retaining original glue blocks.   (See construction images below.)

The top has a molded edge with a nice overhang.  The brasses, while not first, are correct sand-cast replacements.

Small chests such as these are very functional, and highly desirable.
