An Unusual Paint Decorated Windsor Writing Arm Chair, mid 19th Century, Massachusetts

Scroll down for 5 more photos

This is a wonderful country writing chair for an adult, that an adult and/or child can use in a bright color with a magnificent painted scenic landscape.   The paint on this chair is completely original with no in-painted or touch-ups whatsoever.   It is truly a collector's piece and extremely rare.   We understand that this came out a home in the Sturbridge Village area, and no doubt, is of Massachusetts origin.

Condition-wise, it's all there with no repairs, even including it's original bolt which holds the swiveling tablet.  The drawers underneath are a nice feature, rarely seen, and a good place to keep kitchen recipes, or whatever!   Decoratively, this would be a wonderful piece in a country kitchen.

Height: 34 in.  Width: 31 in. Depth: 17 1/2 in.
