A Large Round Regency Mahogany Pedestal Breakfast Table on Saber legs, English, c.1800

This is a most interesting breakfast table in that the top, which is of large size, is composed of just one solid board.  One can imagine how big this tree must have been.  The figure is beautiful, and the columnar support is quite nautical in its tapered form, all of this is supported by four saber legs ending in acanthus style casters, which are rarely seen.

The table is in perfect condition, with no breaks or alterations.   These tables are very popular, as they are quite stable, with four legs, and being all supported by a single column makes for very comfortable seating with ample leg room.   The table will graciously accommodate four.

Height: 28 in.   Diameter: 49 in.
