A Fine Federal Mahogany Hepplewhite 3-part Banquet/Dining Table, Southern, probably Baltimore, c.1810

This table is composed of magnificent heavy solid ribbon grained mahogany boards.   Note the consistency of the striped ribbon graining throughout the entire top.  (See detailed images.)   This banquet table has leaves that are attached to each of the D-ends, as well as a middle section with leaves attached to them.   Consequently, there are multiple combinations for usage…i.e. the two ends together for a small, round table, or opened without the middle section, and/or with.

This table is in fine condition, with no breaks.  The inlays are striped maple, and the apron and legs have a fine lined inlay.   This was a top table of the day, and is rare, insofar as triple-sectioned banquet tables go.   This table was obviously cared for through the years.   The top has no unsightly blemishes and has a warm mellow glow that only the years bring.  It is a museum quality piece.

Height: 29 in.   Width: 45 1/2 in.
Length: up to 161 in. (13' 5")
Each D-End is 24 3/4 in. long, plus a 23 in. drop leaf  (together 49 1/2in. - 95 1/2in.)
The center section is 22 in. closed, 66 in. long open.
