An Inlaid Satinwood Hepplewhite style Bookcase/Breakfront, England, c.1900

This bookcase has a dramatic presence achieved with bright satinwood and inlaid walnut panels throughout. The legs are beautifully reeded, and the sides fully embellished, complementing the front. The craftsmanship is absolutely superb with the bowed shelf fronts also line inlaid. It is, of course, completely benchmade, and only upon internal examination can one assess that this is not a period piece.
