A Figured Mahogany Classical Center Table, Baltimore, c.1825, Franklin Roosevelt family

This center table is a beautiful example of Baltimore work with a magnificently figured top. The base retains all its original stenciling and surface. The carved feet are exuberant and the casters fully developed, and of the exuberant type often seen with Baltimore high style pieces.
Below, we show an image of this table being used in Franklin Roosevelt's Hyde Park estate. This was obviously a family piece, as seen in the photo below. In the back is an 1830 Classical sofa.
