A Pair of Unusual Portraits, Early 19th Century, Provenance: Findlay Galleries, Chicago
These are very interesting portraits that are finely executed. Note the close-up of the man's beard, and/or ladies necklace. While we don't know the origin, they could possibly be Creole, of the period, as they would be typical and have a convincing look. Regardless, they are finely executed, and in excellent frames.
There is a label in the back. This gallery handles fine paintings and a study of these portraits confirms such.
