A Walnut Lowboy, with Slipper Feet, Newport, c.1760

Scroll down for 7 more photos

This lowboy has beautiful yellow brown patina which has aged beautifully through the years. The feet are the highly desirable slipper foot form and have a desirable sway to them that has a characteristic animation. The feet are darker, which is typical, because of the type of walnut being used here. The brasses are not original, but are of the period. The top also has crimped corners, also a desirable feature.
