This table with large notched corners has the finest top we have seen. The fiddle (tiger) figure is quite profound and artistically, its maker positioned a beautiful figuring of the mahogany knots in the center. It is truly a masterpiece. The reeded urn is also a very special element not often seen. The ridge at the top of each leg is alaso and identifying characteristic of Joseph Short. It is in an old, dry surface. The only replacement is the catch to the lid, which is a 19th century replacement. Otherwise, it is in mint condition.

Height: 28 1/2 in. Depth: 33 1/2 in. Width: 33 1/2 in.
