A Federal/Classical Parcel-Gilt and Brass Inlaid Mahogany Crossed Lyres Card Table, attributed to Charles-Honoré Lannuier, New York, c.1815-30

A related example is in the Brooklyn Museum; interestingly, the Met does not have one. Peter Kenny has seen this table and likes it. Ours never had a mount at the base, and the one at the Brooklyn museum may be questionable. (See Peter Kenny, Honoré -Lannuier, Cabinetmaker from Paris). This table is in extremely fine condition throughout, and the casters are unusual and exceptional.

A drop leaf table with Lyre base (Also in our collection) has very similar unusual casters.
