The movement is an 8 day brass works by a good recognized English Clock maker. Brittan's Clock Directory lists the maker as follows: "Henton Brown - Borough. Admitted C.C. 1726; Master, 1753; Livery, 1766; A maker of fine watches; 58 Lombard St. in 1754".
