A Classical Mahogany Brass Inlaid Lyre Dressing Table, By Duncan Phyfe or Circle, New York, c. 1810

Versions of the high-style design for this furniture form are shown in Miller, Edgar G. Jr. American Antique Furniture, Volume Two, page 770. A closely related example is illustrated in Volume V of the Bernard & S. Dean Levy Catalog, p.137.

Ours is a fine example with the lyres being used structurally for supports of the upper case and the mirror. It is of good scale.

Height: 60 ½ in. Width: 42 in.
