A related table is found in Federal Furniture and Decorative Arts at Boscobel by Berry B. Tracy, ill. 36. (see below).  Our tilt-top table interestingly stands in contrast to the one at Boscobel, as the only substantial difference is in the reeding.  Our example above is a tour de force of finely reeded legs, urn, column base, and table edge, while no reeding whatsoever is developed in the same variant as Boscobel.  The top has elegantly canted corners, which complements the overall refinement of the piece.
