This is a very elegant girandole that has a very vertical aspect to it.  Note the eagle, which is beautifully carved, sitting on a very high plinth above a robust and well carved spray of leafage, conforming to bracket carved leafage below the mirror.  It has many gilt balls in close sequence, which arrangement is generally found on earlier girandoles, and retains its original gilt surface and early mirror.  This mirror came out of Wayne Pratt's estate sale.  Wayne was a dealer of great Americana, and highly regarded throughout the industry.

Height: 59 in. Width: 29 in.
