A Carved Mahogany Classical Worktable, New York, possibly Sam'l Carter, c.1825

This is a large sized worktable with an unusual bowed front drawer flanked by Greek columns with capitals. It's quite a study in curves, as this unusual bowed drawer is complemented with a convex drawer above, which reveals its original writing surface.
