A Mahogany and Bird's Eye Maple Lyre Banjo, William Grant, Boston, c.1820

This banjo retains its original rare bird's eye panels laminated on pine, and its original untouched dial. The movement is original to the case, has no additional holes, and retains its original key, finial, etc. William Grant was an apprentice of the Willards and a listed Boston clock maker.
