A Diminutive Cherry Chippendale Oxbow Bureau with dressing shelf, Connecticut, c.1780

This casepiece is highly desirable, especially because of its small size. The width is 32 3/4 . The oxbow shape is quite dramatic, the shape of which is clearly defined in the attached view of the dressing sleeve. The overhang of the top is generous and highly desirable, especially because of its serpentine shape, which conforms to the front and is stylized on the sides. The dressing shelf is also quite desirable. The brasses are original.
