This is the most elaborately carved display cabinet we have owned. Not only does the carving appear on all surfaces, including the edge of shelves. But, the carving itself is absolutely of the finest order. Further, if you examine the carving between the shelves on the back of this piece, you will note the meticulous carved intertwining of ropework. One can just imagine the hours this piece took to produce. Although this piece has a very light appearance, it is extremely heavy.
