A Fine Set of Six Ebonized and Gilt Painted Classical Side Chairs with Saber Legs, Baltimore, c.1830

It is rare to find a single chair of this form in good condition and finding six in better than good, but even fine condition, is indeed a treasure. The seats are caned, for which we've had appropriate upholsters cushions fabricated. The ebonized paint is original, as is the gilding. The crests of these chairs are fully formed and the splat is in a Lyre form. The legs are additionally embellished with acanthus painting as well as the seat front and front stretcher.
