This dressing table is the very finest of its type. It employs the use of gilt mounts and contrasting figured mahogany for its decoration. The mounts are of superb quality throughout. Note the urns atop the columns which support the mirror, which also is magnificently embellished. The drawer front, sides, and base are also gilt mounted. Further, the main columns have all gilt capitals and collars. This piece is as good as it gets for the French empire style.
