A Chippendale Carved Mahogany Drop-leaf Table with Claw and Ball Feet, Pennsylvania, c.1780
This drop leaf table has nicely figured mahogany, which has aged to a fine golden color and each of the sides, as well as the top are single, solid, unjoined boards. Also note, when the table is closed, the very beautiful scroll work on the sides. It's about as nice as it gets. The feet have large Pennsylvania style claw and ball feet that are nicely developed and the cabriole legs have a beautiful Chippendale camber. This table is in excellent condition.
