A Large Chinese Table with Marble Top, turn of the Century

This table is of substantial size and is beautifully carved throughout. These tables came in many grades, and this is one of the best. (Please see the detailed images to view the sharp quality of carving.) The wood is a red-brown eastern wood and the marble is beautifully veined with no breaks or repairs. This type of table is extremely decorative as an accent piece and have many functional decorative uses. Given its large top, a gracious plant or sculpture easily works for this table.
We have another slightly larger table (shown at left below) of the same design in our collection, and although both are a very dark red-black color, the larger one is slightly darker; however, when separated by four or five feet, they certainly appear as a pair.
