A Fine Inlaid and Carved Mahogany Tea Table and/or Candlestand with dishtop, English, c.1780

This table is a high style table with beautifully executed legs exhibiting carving on the knee as well as foot. The post is also beautifully carved. The workmanship is a as good as it gets. The top is a dishtop, also a very desirable feature adding to the work involved with the addition of an inlaid banding somewhat in from the edge. The size of this table is very manageable. Neither too big nor too small. It is truly a fine gem.
