A Carved Pair of English Hepplewhite Chairs, c.1790/1800

These chairs are among the finest Hepplewhite chairs of the period. The carving is absolutely superlative and quite elaborate. The arch is very well defined and the bottom rail beautifully curved. The from legs end in spade feet as do the rear legs, something rarely seen. The seat is of a beautiful, commodious size.
