A Gilded Federal Over-mantel Mirror, c.1830

This mirror retains its original gilt, which often is repainted and/or highly repatched. This is a clean, beautifully formed mirror, with striking, well defined columns and capitals. It is 3-part and has old mirrors, possibly original. Its size is desirable, being neither too big nor too small. It is one of the best of its kind.
