This desk has a beautiful light amber glow which has developed over the years. It is somewhat late into the period, as it retains its original pulls, which are interestingly Hepplewhite in style. The feet are classic Newport bracket feet and the sharp dovetails at the top of the desk show why Newport furniture is highly prized and considered of the highest workmanship. Note the dovetails come to precise points.
