Gothic, Classical Worktable on Fluted Column, probably Boston, c.1840

This worktable is distinguished by a very architectural fluted column. It has two drawers and drop leaves of vibrantly figured mahogany which has, over time, developed a wonderful glow. Also note that the fluted column sits on a circular plinth which interestingly, is made of solid mahogany.
