Mahogany Chippendale Oval Drop Leaf Dining Table, Salem , c.1780

This table has wonderfully carved claw and ball feet (see detail) with graceful legs. It is very good sized for this early form and makes a wonderful breakfast table. This table has been lovingly used through the years and has developed an amber rich sun-faded tone. The leaves are both single board and the shaped apron is very elegant, which in many table of this type are plain. There are no replacements or major repairs.
