Carved Mahogany Two-drawer Worktable, Salem , c.1830

This center table has beautiful carving (see detail) and vigorous turnings. The robust reeded legs make a powerful statement and terminate into the most delicate casters. The wood on the top is solid mahogany with a beautiful grain configuration. This table is in superb condition, retaining its original casters and is finished on all sides, which makes it adaptable for use alongside an armchair.
