Carved Walnut Rococo Revival Server, with Wolf Head, Fruit, c. 1865

This small-scale server in suite with sideboard sw00606 is wonderfully carved throughout and makes a commanding statement with a Wolf’s head trophy crest. While these pieces are often heavy and cumbersome, this is rather light. It is in mint condition, and retains an old surface. The craftsmanship speaks for itself with its carving; full joinery is used throughout, i.e. hand dovetailed drawers.
