Georgian style Carved Mahogany Candlestand, 19th Century

This candlestand has a beautiful one-board top with highly figured mahogany. The column is deeply carved and the feet are done in a relatively rare paw foot form that is very English in design. While not period, it will fool most people because of the quality of craftsmanship and wood choice. It was crafted at some point in the early part of this century and it’s wood has taken on a beautiful glow. This piece is in mint condition.
