Grand Inlaid Mahogany Hepplewhite Sideboard, England, c.1800

This masterful sideboard with a two-tiered design of which the lower drawers pull open as would be expected and the panels above these drawers in contrast are designed to slide from side to side with ample storage. The mahogany has a beautiful mellow glow, heralding its age. The line inlay is very delicate and exceptional.
