Classical Mirrored Wall Chest w/ drawers, Probably New York, c.1825

This mahogany casepiece is a very rare form seldom seen. The pediment is beautifully carved anthemia carved crest, a classic motif found on many of the great pieces of this period. The mirror is original and stylishly segmented. The mahogany is finely figured and the door opens to adjustable shelves with drawers below.
