A Queen Anne Figured Maple Drop-Leaf Dining Table, Newport, RI, c.1740
This table has single board leaf and top of beautifully figured tiger maple. This table is relatively narrow, and will fit into a hallway as a side table with large drop leafs opening to good size. Note this table has a relatively straight leg and not cabriole, which is typical, however, Rhode Island tables often are identified with this straight leg form, i.e. related table, see Furniture in Pendleton House.
