Mahogany Sheraton Dining Room Table w/ Inlay, New England, c.1800

The top of this dining room table is composed of four one–piece or unjoined boards of dense, heavy quality. The apron has a beautiful oval inlay at each end, all of which is supported by turned tapered legs. This table retains an old polished surface. The hanging boards are extremely long, so that when brought up and supported by the additional swing leg, the table is of a large good size.
