Mahogany Classical Sofa with Eagles and Carved Arms, Boston, c.1830

This sofa has wonderfully carved eagles, which are sharply carved and about as good as they get. The arms have highly figured panels and are supported with cornucopia. The feet are also modified cornucopias above paw feet. This sofa is in superb condition and retains its original black horsehair fabric, which is in excellent condition.
