This mirror is a classic of the form and retains its original reverse painting of a pastoral scene, and glass. Also, note the horizontal mirror inset above the reverse painting, an embellishment that is seen in finer examples. The classic cluster columns are developed with small acanthus carving at the top, just below the upper rosettes.
