Classical Mahogany Dressing Table with Lyres, Phyfe, New York, c.1810

This dressing table is related to a grouping of such tables attributed to the Phyfe workshop. It is a rare form and is seen with varying modifications in design. For example, Levy shows a related table with a mirror flanked by Lyre supports. Note variations in the feet both front and rear.
