Queen Anne Mahogany Kettle Stand, England, c.1750-60

This kettle or urn stand retains an early faded surface and is defined with a dishtop with a grooved swirl urn column, all supported on elegantly shaped pad foot cabriole leg. The design form of the column and feet are remarkably similar to an important kettle stand with a trefoil top illustrated in The Furniture of Historic Deerfield, by Dean Fales.
