Classical Mahogany Worktable, Attrib. to Quervelle, Philadelphia, c.1830

This famous, well documented table employs a pedestal base which was used by Anthony Quervelle and is the trademark of his work. This table is illustrated in Antiques Magazine August 1973. It is further illusrtated in American Cabinetmakers by William C. Ketchum, Jr. as well as other sources. The upper case has a beautiful matched veneer top with rosewood crossbaning.
