Mahogany Neoclassical Pembroke Table w/ Eagle Heads, c.1820

This exuberant card table relies on dramatic carving and strongly striped mahogany for visual appeal. The top is composed of solid, one-board, highly figured mahogany with similarly figured leaves from the same stock. The apron relates to the top also with a highly figured mahogany crotch grain panel within a mahogany boarder, all of which is flanked by carved flower head corner blocks, which retain all original monumental acorn finials.
