Classical Tiger Maple Candlestand, c.1820

Tiger maple is used throughout, the shaped, single board top is carefully chosen with tiger figuring running symmetrically along the edges, like a violin back, however all of one piece of wood, and not two joined, which is the way this effect is achieved. The primary support, ring-turned, all on a tripod base of delicate scrolled legs, which rest on ball feet.
