Louis XVI style Beechwood Armchair, c.1860

This armchair is fully carved and of good size. The carved buds are typical of this French design motif and complement the elaborate carved elements of the medallion shaped back. The seat has a serpentine front rail and all is supported by tapering fluted legs, headed by panels flower heads. The tapestry seats are recent and in excellent condition.
